Castore & Polluce are twin gods in Greek and Roman mythology. Sons of queen Leda of Sparta.

Castor and Polluce sometime mortal and sometimes immortal. Castore mortal son of king tyndares while Polluce was in the divine and son of Zeus. But only one of them is always immortal and is Polluce, he asked Zeus to be together with Castor and share he his own immortality and that is why were transformed into the constellation Gemini.

They symbolized the Dioscuri and regarded as helpers of mankind and patrons of travelers. One statue of them are in piazza del Campidoglio in Rome.

One day while walking in the marina, two trees shedding their beautiful soft barks. There were workers  cleaning up the garbage, they were about to throw the bark into the bin. I asked them to stop and I collected the bark instead, I thought to myself, I will make you stand together again just like the twin gods Castore & Polluce. Without thinking my roots revealed that moment.
